Iskra Delta Triglav

slikaThe name Triglav (literal translation: threehead) was chosen, because it is the national mountain of Slovenia, because the Delta Triglav was the third peak in Iskra’s development and because there were three versions of the Triglav system operating with three different processors. J11(DC J11-AC), 286 (Intel iAPX 80286) and 681 (Motorola MC 68010). The hard disks had a capacity between 40 and 80MB and the computer was equipped with a 5,25″ floppy drive and a microstreamer tape drive. Some of the various operating systems that could be run on the Triglav were: XENIX, OS-9, MS-DOS, RMX … of course, the choice of the operating system was dependent on the processor used. Our gallery has some documentation about the Triglav and the picture below shows the basic components of all three versions.
