slikaThe power behind this videoterminal was a Z80 processor. The computer had a whole 128KB of memory and a 10MB hard disk. The promotional materials state, that “the external memory unit is a Winchester-type disk with unparalleled 10MB of storage capacity.” It is interesting to note that they used the expression “Winchester-type disk”, which was a more colloquial term for hard disks with read-write heads and originates from the beginning of the 70s (slang term for the IBM 3340). It is hard to keep a straight face at the following sentence from this 1983 catalogue: “The monitor is green and non-reflective, and is therefore pleasant to the eye.” Scans of original brochures.
